Midlands Real Estate Investors Association – South Carolina
A while back, a handful of real estate investors in the Midlands areas of South Carolina knew there was a better way to network with fellow investors without feeling like we were being “taken” by some unscrupulous and predatory “real estate gurus and operators” in our area. We shared similar stories about what it was like to get started as real estate investors and how it seemed we couldn’t trust anyone to help us get quality real estate investment information. We would attend investor meetings around town to gain knowledge, but we just felt like there was no existing investor group or club that was addressing our needs for quality, integrity, and honesty in dealing with the beginning and experienced real estate investors. We decided to change this situation and form a group of like-minded investors–and thus–we created the Midlands Real Estate Investors Association and aligned ourselves with the National Real Estate Investors Association. We are currently the only OFFICIAL chapter in the South Carolina Midlands.

Giving Back Program:
Midlands REIA and its members have organized a “Giving Back” Program, that aims to conduct several charitable projects a year that provide a community service or benefit a charitable cause. From time-to-time throughout the year, the Giving Back Program will focus on a charitable project to assist. When a call to community service comes, the Midlands Real Estate Investors Association wants to be there.

JOIN FELLOW REIA MEMBERS AS A VOLUNTEER FOR REBUILDING TOGETHER!
Rebuilding Together repairs homes and revitalizes communities. By mobilizing a volunteer workforce, Rebuilding Together ensures that low-income homeowners, especially those who are elderly, disabled and families with children, live in greater independence in warmer, safer and drier homes.
Rebuilding Together is a response to the growing needs of low-income homeowners in the South Carolina Midlands. We are part of a national network of 255 Rebuilding Together affiliates. As the nation’s largest volunteer organization dedicated to preserving and revitalizing low-income houses and communities, Rebuilding Together is proud of its role in preserving America’s housing stock and providing vital assistance to the people who have no place else to turn.
Our primary activity each year is Rebuilding Day which occurs the last Saturday of every April. On that day, we mobilize over 800 volunteers to repair approximately 50 homes in two neighborhoods. In addition to the home renovations, we also undertake one or more community projects in each location. Our neighborhood focus allows us to not only impact individual homeowners but also provide a significant, noticeable improvement to the community at large.
